We outline exactly what you will be doing on each of the four days following your arrival in Mendoza.
Welcome to the city of Mendoza.
Upon your arrival at Mendoza airport, transportation will be available to take you directly to your hotel.
Mendoza City Tour.
A special bus, accompanied by a tour guide, will pick you up for a half-day excursion. You’ll discover the city of Mendoza through a comprehensive city tour starting at the *Área Fundacional* (Foundational Area), the heart of Mendoza’s historical heritage. You’ll visit the Alameda, Plaza Pedro del Castillo, and the San Francisco Ruins—key sites of old Mendoza.
Next, the tour will head to the “New City,” where you’ll explore its main squares and the Civic Center, home to the iconic Flag of the Army of the Andes. The tour continues to the emblematic General San Martín Park—Mendoza’s most important green space—featuring beautiful fountains and lush vegetation.
The tour concludes with the ascent to Cerro de la Gloria, home to the imposing Monument to the Army of the Andes—a historic landmark of Mendoza. You’ll stop there to take in the panoramic views of the city and snap some photos.
When the tour is over, you’ll be taken back to your hotel, having the rest of the afternoon and the entire evening free.
Wineries and Olive Groves.
After you finish lunch, a tour guide will pick you up at your hotel for this half-day excursion. You’ll travel outside the city of Mendoza, heading toward the agricultural oasis of the Maipú and Luján de Cuyo departments.
You’ll visit two distinct wineries in the region—one family-run and the other industrial—to discover the contrasting approaches to winemaking. Each winery, with its own unique identity, will offer a captivating tour of its vineyards and facilities, providing a detailed look at the wine’s journey from origin to market, and concluding with a delicious tasting of their finest wines.
To wrap up the experience, you’ll head to an olive oil mill, where you will discover how extra virgin olive oil and other olive-based products are made, followed by a delicious tasting.
You’ll arrive at the hotel after 7 p.m., having the evening free.
Alta Montaña (High Mountains)
After breakfast at the hotel—bright and early in the morning—a special bus, accompanied by a tour guide, will pick you up for a full-day excursion.
You’ll travel just over 200 km toward the Andes Mountains, discovering spectacular landscapes such as the Potrerillos Dam, the Uspallata Valley, the natural attraction of Puente del Inca, and Los Penitentes.
Towards the end of the road, you’ll be able to view Mount Aconcagua (the highest mountain in the american continent) from its natural viewpoints and reach the town of Las Cuevas, on the border with Chile.
During the summer months—weather permitting—you can ascend to an altitude of 4,000 meters to reach the Christ the Redeemer Monument, a symbol of the peace shared between Chile and Argentina. Access to the monument is closed during the winter season.
The trip concludes with a lunch break in the area where the main restaurants are located. The cost of this lunch is not included in the final price of this trip to Mendoza.
You’ll arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon, around 7:00 PM.
Farewell to Mendoza.
After breakfast, you’ll check out of the hotel and have some free time until your transport to the Mendoza airport arrives.
