Get ready to fly over 1,000 km north from Buenos Aires to the city of Puerto Iguazú, in the province of Misiones. This city borders Brazil and Paraguay and is located just 20 km from one of the seven natural wonders of the world: the Iguazu Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll not only visit the falls; there will also be a full day dedicated to discovering other locations through new excursions.
Made up of 275 drops tumbling across volcanic basalt layers, this waterfall showcases a stunning main cascade that towers at 82 meters high which can be appreciated from just 50 meters away by walking the footbridges.

We outline exactly what you will be doing on each of the four days, starting from your arrival in Puerto Iguazú.
Welcome to Puerto Iguazú, Misiones.
Upon your arrival at Puerto Iguazú Airport, transportation will be available to take you directly to your hotel.
Iguazu Falls – Brazilian Side: after checking into your hotel, a tour bus will pick you up for this first excursion. You will head to Brazil to visit Iguaçu National Park and enjoy one of the best views of the falls. Accompanied by a tour guide, you’ll walk along the trail that runs beside the falls until you reach the area with the most important viewpoints. The circuit allows you to admire the vastness of the cascades and waterfalls from the Brazilian side and enjoy a unique view of the Devil’s Throat.
Parque das Aves (Bird Park): you can enter the aviaries and discover the lives of the birds in a colorful world where exotic tropical species fly freely within large enclosures set amidst a diverse tropical rainforest environment. You’ll also get a close-up look at marmosets, caimans, boas, anacondas, butterflies, and other animals that captivate visitors. The park’s trails are fully accessible to people with disabilities. There will be time for lunch and to enjoy the atmosphere before returning to Puerto Iguazú in the late afternoon.
Iguazu Falls – Argentine Side.
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be picked up for the excursion to Iguazu National Park. This time, you’ll discover the Argentine side of the falls and visit the most important circuits, including:
The Devil’s Throat (La Garganta del Diablo): the tour begins with a ride on the Ecological Jungle Train, ending at the entrance to the Devil’s Throat. From there, accompanied by a tour guide, you will walk along the footbridges to the viewing platform, where you can observe the massive waterfall up close and experience the power of the Iguazu River.
Difficulty level: moderate – no stairs.
Upper Circuit: next, you’ll walk along other walkways offering panoramic views of various waterfalls. Difficulty level: moderate – no stairs.
Lower Circuit: this route leads into the jungle, offering a view of the falls from a new angle and allowing you to appreciate the cascades from below. Once the excursion concludes, you will return to Puerto Iguazú to enjoy the late afternoon and evening. Difficulty level: high – involves stairs.
Minas de Wanda (Wanda’s Mines)
After breakfast at the hotel, a tour bus—accompanied by a guide—will pick you up for a 45 km trip along National Route 12 to Colonia Wanda. This open-pit gemstone mine is a unique attraction, situated right across from the mighty Paraná River. At the mines, you can view specimens of topaz, amethyst, agate, rock crystal, and quartz. The landscape is rounded out by vast plantations of tea, yerba mate, and pine trees, among other crops that form the pillars of the region’s economy.
San Ignacio Jesuit Ruins: continuing your journey along National Route 12 and enjoying the spectacular local scenery, you’ll pass through villages, small towns, and agricultural areas before reaching the magnificent Jesuit ruins. These structures date back to the 17th century, when Jesuit missionaries arriving from Europe settled in the area. You will be accompanied by a local guide who will share fascinating details about the construction of the ruins, the lives and customs of the Guaraní people, and the evangelization work carried out by the Jesuits.You’ll arrive back at your hotel in the evening, around 9:00 PM.
Farewell to Iguazú
After breakfast, you’ll check out of the hotel and have some free time until your transport to Puerto Iguazú Airport arrives.
