This guided tour will lead us to all the significant places that influenced the former Pope Francis’ character in Buenos Aires. You’ll visit the house where he was born, the home where he lived, his kindergarten, his primary school, and various other important places along with many churches.
The Pope Francis Tour welcomes people of all ages who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the origins of this important global religious figure.
We have designed four different options for this tour with unique itineraries. If you just wish to have a general vision of the pope’s life, we recommend to take the Tour 1. The next tours 2 and 3 include the Tour 1 itinerary and also adding special visits.
Last, the Tour 4 features a long trip to Luján, a spiritual city known by its famous basilic where the former Pope used to give mass.

TOUR 1
Duration: 3 hours
Itinerary (inside Buenos Aires City).
1) visit to ‘San Jose de Flores’ Cathedral (Flores neighborhood) where the today Pope decided to be a priest.
2) visit to the house where Bergoglio spent his childhood, in Flores neighborhood.
3) visit to the square ‘Herminia Brumana’, where Bergoglio used to play soccer (football) with his friends.
4) visit to the house where Pope Francis was born.
5) visit to His Primary School.
6) visit to the institute “Nuestra Señora de la Misericordia”, where He began the kindergarden.
7) visit to the Basilic where Bergoglio was baptisted.
8) Visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral, opposite to the Square of May (Plaza de Mayo), main catholic temple of the country, where Bergoglio was an archbishop and the main cardinal of the Argentina for 14 years.
TOUR 2
Duration: 4 hours.
The same itinerary above plus:
9) Entering the “A” Metro Station & taking the subway through 2 or 3 stations, as Pope used to do it daily.
TOUR 3
Duration: 5 hours.
Tour 1 and 2 plus:
10) trip to DEVOTO neighborhood to visit the Diocesan Seminary where Bergoglio studied.
TOUR 4
Duration: 8 hours.
Pope Tour #1 plus a visit to LUJÁN Basilic
(75 km from Buenos Aires), built in neogothic style, and dedicated to Our Lady of Luján, patron saint of Argentina. We will take 1 hour for lunch (not included).
